Believing that children need opportunities to meet LGBTQ+ people in real life, Maria Seiren, a transgender opera singer, raises awareness of freedom from gender stereotypes for elementary and junior high schools as part of moral education.

In a meaningful lecture held within one class period, which parents may also observe, Maria Seiren performs opera, shares her life experiences to explain the importance of being true to oneself, and answers children's questions. Special programs in which she sings together with children and provides vocal instruction have also been popular.

Our activities to date have received very high praise from teachers and parents, and we hope to expand them to more regions throughout Japan.
